Former Airman's Discharge UpgradedI represented a former Airman who received a General (Under Honorable Conditions) Discharge for minor allegations of misconduct. We put together a packet of letters from former and current co-workers, and provide evidence to refute some of the allegations. In doing so, we were able to convince the Air Force Discharge Review Board to upgrade his discharge to Honorable. This allows him to use his GI bill, and to get promoted in his current job as a fire fighter.
Soldier Avoids Confinement: Will be Allowed to RetireI just represented an E-7 at Fort Benning who was charged with numerous allegations of falsely wearing a Ranger Tab. The evidence against him was overwhelming. But we were able to mitigate his damage down to a two rank reduction. No confinement, no discharge. As he has an approved MEB (due to numerous jumps) he will be allowed to finish the process and obtain his military retirement.
Army Officer found Not Guilty at Article 15 I have been representing an Army Captain who came up hot on a urinalysis for THC. He swore he had no idea how it happened, and we did some digging. Turns out he had been to a music festival in Atlanta. When he got home there was a batch of cookies on the kitchen table that his roommate had left there. You guessed it. One of his roommate's friends had made "special cookies" and my client unwittingly ingested them. We got statements from the roommate, the "baker" and one other. My client accepted adjudication at Article 15, where the CG found him not guilty of the charge of wrongful use of marijuana. My client starts law school in the fall, so this is a great result for him.
